The benefits of recycling
Is recycling better for the planet I think so. Recycling is a rubbish
program for rubbish that people like me and you make like a coke can or
your home work that you throw out ,trucks come and picks it up and take it
to a recycling centre this is were it gets sorted. There are company’s
that set these recycling centres up like the zwnz trust this trust has
been keeping new Zealand clean for thirteen years. I chose this subject
because I think that it is a very good idea and people should do more of.
I want to talk about why is recycling better for the earth and society,
what can it do, how to do it and what happens if we don’t recycling.
Recycling is clearly better for the earth but why is it better for the
earth and society? Due to the cost of making aluminium cans it makes sense
that one tone of aluminium cans is cheaper to recycle than to make.
Recycling one tone of aluminium cans can save thirteen thousand kHz of
electricity and less pollution by ninety five percent instead of making
more pollution to make the cans. One recycle aluminium can, can save
enough electricity to run a computer or a TV. For three hours
(www.zerowaste .co.nz) I believe that if families like my one and my
granddad one recycle they will leave the planet pressure resources for the
future.
In the old days you would get milk in a glass bottle this glass bottle
would be handed back so it could be reuse so we have been recycling for a
long time but now there are toxic materials that can be recycle or can’t
so what can recycling do? Most of what we can throw out in the land fills
(that are ranked the second highest source of green house gases after
fossil fuel), can be recycle machines mash and brake down masteries like
food scraps and off cuts of trees and made into compose for people
gardens. Machine can also break glass and if you walk down town on newly
paths you will see glass in it to make it look cool. And in five years
eight hundred and thirty thousand computers have been made out recycle
computers. My opinion is that you basically recycle most house stuff.
So how to do it? If you open a can of bake bean and you want to recycle
the can but you have no recycling bin ring your council and see if you can
get one or you can take it to the closest recycling centre. You just wash
out the bottle or can and put it down the right shoot. Recycling is
clearly better for the earth but what happens if we don’t recycle. The
average family makes thirteen kg a week of rubbish and seven hundred kg a
year if we keep on filling land fills we are going to run out of room and
our pressure resources so I think if get every family to recycle it will
save the planet.
Overall recycling is better for the earth so if we can get every one to
recycle the world will be clean and green if you can recycle one can a day
you can watch TV or play on the computer for three hours. I hope this has
made you think to recycle and keep the planet for the future. M 09156
