Everyone should be an organ donor

Organ donations save many lives each year with 1 dead human in a healthy condition can save or help up to 50 people. Many families say knowing there loved one helped save others lives helped them cope with there loss.

Many people have some strange beliefs when it comes to organ donation or have been mislead so here are the facts. Many people believe open casket funerals are no longer an option after organ donation when the fact is open casket funerals are absolutly fine because there are no visible signs of organ or tissue donations for bone donations rods are inserted where bone is removed with skin donation a small layer of skin is taken from the donors back similair to the peel of skin from sun burn there are no visble signs as they are in the casket lying on the back and fully clothed. Another big belief by patients is that if they put organ donor on there identification the doctors wont try as hard to save there lives. Fact is the doctors job is to save lives not to let people die to help save others. Parents should definatly talk about organ donation with there children because many children who are in need of organ donation need child sized organs most adult organs are far to big for there bodys. The biggest reason people don’t become organ donors is because they have been hugely mislead into thinking that when you become an organ donor the hospital staff wont work as hard to save your life when the truth is when you go to the hospital the doctors focus on saving your life not somebody elses the doctor who ecxamines you will have nothing to do with organ transplantation.

Why should you become an organ donor?
Because in America in 2004 1 person died every 90 minutes due to lack of organ donation rite now 17 people die each day from lack of organ donation. These are the facts that you should know before silly organ donation rumours mislead you and stop you from saving the lives of others.
